Compact fluorescent light
bulbs (CFL light bulbs) offer several advantages over incandescent light bulbs:
Energy Efficient
Light Bulbs - CFL bulbs are the best energy efficient light bulb
replacement on the market for replacing standard incandescent light bulbs.
For example, a 13 watt compact fluorescent light bulb may be used to replace
a 60 watt incandescent and will save as much as $47 in energy costs over its
lifetime. A 23 watt CFL light bulb will replace 100 watt incandescent light
bulbs and save $77 over its lifetime.
Long Life of
Compact Fluorescents - The CFL light bulbs we stock have a rated
life of between 8,000-10,000 hours. A standard incandescent bulb ranges from
750-1000 hours. One CFL light bulb will save you 10-13 trips up the ladder.
More Color Options
- Compact fluorescent light bulbs are available in color options ranging from
2700 Kelvin (replicating incandescent light bulbs) all the way to 5000 Kelvin
(a pure white light great for tasks requiring high visual acuity). More information
on color temperature may be found at: Color

Cool Burning
- Energy efficient light bulbs run on about 25% the energy as standard light
bulbs and produce a corresponding 75% less heat. CFL light bulbs are less
taxing on your air conditioning system. Why pay to cool your incandescent
bulbs when compact fluorescents generate less heat.
